School begins

Today was Sophia's first day at Turku International School (TIS). We rode the bus there and arrived too early. Like Kimball, the children line up outside before the bell at 8:15. The difference between lining up at Kimball and lining up at TIS is how dark it is. Some of the kids were wearing reflective vests. Sophia's teacher is on her honeymoon, but we met the English teacher who told us that English would be her first class of the day. She will have had a short day because the last 2 hours of school on Thursdays are Finnish as the Mother Tongue so I am heading out shortly to pick her up.
